Carpenter - Contract Position in Nakuru, Kenya


We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Nakuru, Kenya on a contract basis. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. Your role will involve reading blueprints and following technical specifications to ensure accuracy and quality in your work.

Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood or wood substitutes
- Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings, and trimmings
- Follow safety procedures to prevent accidents while working with tools and equipment
- Select materials based on the project specifications
- Repair or replace damaged framework or other structures as needed
- Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide solutions accordingly

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent knowledge of different carpentry techniques and tools
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material needs
- Physical stamina to handle heavy equipment and materials for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Biometric passport is required for this position
