Executive Chef
As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of our restaurant in Braga. Your main duties will include creating and designing menus, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the quality and consistency of food and service. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced chef who is passionate about food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new menus and dishes that meet high standards of quality and customer satisfaction
- Train, supervise, and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
- Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards
- Collaborate with other departments to plan events or special menus
- Monitor food costs and make adjustments to maintain profitability without compromising quality
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a head chef or executive chef in a high-end restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, flavors, ingredients, and presentation styles
- Ability to create menus that cater to different dietary restrictions or preferences
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Proven track record of maintaining high levels of food quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and health standards
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English (Portuguese is a plus)
Salary: $1000 per month (negotiable depending on experience)
