Land Surveyor
As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for accurately measuring, mapping, and analyzing land surfaces. Your duties will include using specialized equipment to survey land features and boundaries, recording data and preparing reports, and working closely with engineers and architects to ensure proper planning and development of projects. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety standards.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a land surveyor
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as GPS, total stations, and laser levels
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles, practices, and techniques
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or other computer-aided design software
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys to determine property boundaries, topography, and other land features
- Use various measurement tools such as GPS receivers and electronic distance-measuring equipment
- Produce detailed maps, charts, and reports based on collected data
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure accurate planning and development of projects
- Maintain accurate records of surveys conducted
- Adhere to safety standards at all times
- Travel to various job sites throughout the city of Akron
