Metal Worker
We are a metal fabrication company located in Porto and we are seeking a skilled Metal Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various types of metal, including steel, aluminum, and copper. The role will involve cutting, shaping, and welding metal pieces to create structures and products according to blueprints and specifications. The Metal Worker will also be responsible for inspecting finished products for quality control and performing repairs as needed. This position requires strong attention to detail, physical strength, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements
- Operate hand and power tools such as saws, grinders, drills, and welders
- Cut, bend, shape, and weld metal pieces using appropriate techniques
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal pieces for accurate cutting
- Inspect finished products for quality control purposes
- Perform repairs on damaged or defective parts
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Metal Worker
- Proficient in reading blueprints and following technical drawings
- Knowledge of different welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy objects
- Attention to detail in order to produce high-quality work
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1800$ per month for this full-time position.
