As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while ensuring they meet modern safety and building codes. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine their condition and identify areas in need of restoration.
- Develop plans for preserving, restoring, and maintaining historic sites in compliance with local regulations and building codes.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
- Source appropriate materials for restoration projects that match the original design of the structure.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure it aligns with preservation plans.
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect workmanship and address any issues that may arise during the restoration process.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in preservation architecture.
- Strong knowledge of historical architecture styles, materials, and techniques.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or other architectural software.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
