Database Administrator

The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of our company's databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database structure, data mining and data analysis. They will also possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to ensure optimal database functionality. The DBA will work closely with our development team to design, implement and maintain database systems that meet our business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular database maintenance and updates
- Monitor database performance and identify areas for improvement
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions
- Develop and implement backup and recovery plans
- Create security protocols to protect sensitive data
- Collaborate with development team to design efficient database structures for new applications
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and patterns
- Train staff on proper use of databases and best practices for data management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL Server, MySQL)
- Experience with data mining, warehousing and ETL processes
- Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Python or Java
- Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues related to databases
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively in English

Salary: $1300 USD per month
