Heavy Equipment Operator
Location: Funchal, Portugal


We are in need of a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy machinery including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and more. Your main duties will be to efficiently and safely operate the equipment to complete assigned tasks on construction sites.

Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and other machinery as needed
- Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times while operating heavy machinery
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate work activities
- Maintain and service equipment as needed
- Report any malfunctions or defects with equipment to management immediately

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator or similar role
- Valid heavy equipment operator license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
- Strong understanding of safety regulations for operating heavy equipment
- Physical fitness to perform manual labor tasks
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills
