Our company in Svalbard is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for using specialized equipment to cut, shape, and join metal parts together according to blueprints or project specifications. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1600$. We require candidates with previous welding experience and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Accommodation will not be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications to determine welding requirements
- Operate specialized equipment such as welding torches, plasma cutters, and grinders
- Select appropriate welding techniques and materials based on project needs
- Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding by grinding, sanding, or buffing
- Use hand-held or robotic welders to join metal parts together
- Inspect welded joints for quality and make necessary repairs if needed
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear at all times

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Welder in a similar role
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Proficient in various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or Stick welding
- Familiarity with different types of metals and their properties
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work consistently
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy objects, and work in confined spaces
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
- Good communication skills
- Valid welding certification preferred but not required
