Junior Back-End Developer
We are a technology company based in Akron, seeking a Junior Back-End Developer to join our team. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the server-side logic of our web applications. This is an entry-level position, making it ideal for recent graduates or those looking to gain experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Create and maintain APIs and microservices for web applications
- Optimize code for maximum speed and scalability
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing codebase
- Write clean, well-documented code following coding standards and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong knowledge of at least one server-side programming language (e.g. Java, Python, PHP)
- Proficiency in database design and management (SQL or NoSQL)
- Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with back-end frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot, Django)
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)
- Understanding of web security protocols and implementation
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Salary: 1300$ per month
Contract job: This is a full-time contract position with the possibility of becoming permanent.
Location: Akron, OH (Open to remote work within the United States)
