Android Developer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Android Developer to join our growing team in Lisbon. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for the Android platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features, as well as troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise.

Responsibilities:
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs in existing applications
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in mobile development

Requirements:
- Proven working experience in Android development
- Strong knowledge of Java programming language
- Experience with Android SDK and third-party libraries
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Knowledge of Kotlin programming language
- Experience with biometric passport technology
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies

Location: This is an on-site position based in Lisbon. Candidates must have a valid biometric passport or be eligible for one.

Salary: The salary for this position is 1600$ per month.
