Librarian - Al-Malikiyah, Syria


A prestigious public library in the bustling city of Al-Malikiyah, Syria is seeking a qualified Librarian to join our team. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library's collection of books, digital resources, and other materials. Your main duties will include cataloging new materials, assisting patrons with research needs, and maintaining the overall organization and cleanliness of the library.

To be successful in this role, you must have a passion for books and knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and a strong attention to detail. Previous experience working as a librarian is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:
- Catalog new materials into our library's system
- Assist patrons with finding books and conducting research
- Manage loan requests and return checkouts
- Maintain organization of shelves and overall cleanliness of the library
- Stay updated on new releases and recommend titles to patrons
- Create engaging displays to promote new materials or special events
- Handle any customer service issues or complaints with professionalism
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan events or programs for the community

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working as a librarian preferred
- Knowledge of cataloging systems and library software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package starting at 1400$ per month. This position does not include accommodation.
