Librarian Assistant


As a Librarian Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the librarian in managing and organizing the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials. You will also provide support to library users by helping them locate and retrieve materials, as well as answering any questions they may have.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist librarian in cataloging and classifying new materials
- Help maintain an organized and user-friendly library space
- Provide assistance to library users in locating materials
- Answer questions from library users regarding the collection or services offered
- Process interlibrary loan requests
- Compile statistics on library usage and materials borrowed
- Assist with planning and executing library events or programs
- Help manage circulation desk activities, including checking out books and collecting fines

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Familiarity with cataloging systems and database management preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting is a plus

Working Hours:
This is a part-time position with flexible working hours. The candidate must be available to work some evenings and weekends.

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1600 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Herzliya, Israel. Preference will be given to candidates who are local or willing to relocate.
