English-Speaking Librarian in Herzliya


We are searching for a skilled and passionate English-speaking librarian to join our team in Herzliya. As a librarian, you will be responsible for managing our library collection, providing research assistance to patrons, and promoting literacy and lifelong learning within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the library's collection of English-language materials, including books, periodicals, and digital resources
- Assist patrons with locating and accessing information through reference services, research guidance, and reader's advisory
- Plan and conduct engaging programs to promote literacy and learning for all ages
- Collaborate with local schools to support their curriculum needs through collection development and outreach efforts
- Oversee circulation services, including managing loan transactions, maintaining accurate records, and addressing any issues or concerns from patrons
- Stay updated on current trends in librarianship, technology, and literature to provide innovative services to the community

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required; knowledge of Hebrew is a plus
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist diverse populations in a welcoming manner
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for managing collections and records
- Passion for promoting literacy and lifelong learning within the community

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1800 per month.

This full-time position is located in Herzliya, a vibrant city known for its beautiful beaches, high-tech industry, and lively cultural scene. Herzliya is conveniently located just north of Tel Aviv.
