Part-Time Typesetter


We are seeking a skilled Typesetter to join our publishing team in Almada. As a part-time employee, you will work closely with our editorial and design teams to typeset and format various print and digital publications. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and proficiency in design software such as InDesign and Photoshop. Prior experience in typesetting is preferred, but not required. We offer a competitive salary of 1100$ per month with the option of accommodation for non-local employees. This position is open to both men and women.

As a Typesetter, your responsibilities will include:

- Formatting text and images according to design specifications
- Ensuring consistency in layout, font, and spacing throughout the publication
- Collaborating with editors and designers to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Conducting thorough proofreading to catch any errors or inconsistencies
- Maintaining organized files for easy retrieval of previous work

Requirements:

- Proficiency in design software such as InDesign and Photoshop
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors or inconsistencies
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Prior experience in typesetting is preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
