Nurse - Pediatric Ward
The Pediatric Ward Nurse will be responsible for providing compassionate and competent care to young patients in the pediatric ward. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced nurse with a strong background in pediatric care. The nurse must be able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of each patient in the ward. They must also possess excellent communication and critical thinking skills to effectively collaborate with other healthcare professionals and provide education to patients and their families.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience as a pediatric nurse, preferably in a hospital setting. They must hold a valid nursing license and have completed a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing. Knowledge of neonatal resuscitation, pediatric advanced life support, and other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
As this is a demanding position that requires working with children, the candidate must have a compassionate attitude and the ability to handle stressful situations with patience and empathy. The nurse must also be physically fit as they will be required to lift or move patients when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Monitor patient progress, administer medications, perform nursing assessments, and maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans for each patient
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance habits
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
- Maintain a safe environment for patients by adhering to safety standards
- Respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies within the pediatric ward
- Continuously update knowledge by attending workshops, conferences, or other educational programs related to pediatric nursing
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a pediatric nurse in a hospital setting
- Valid nursing license
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
- Knowledge of neonatal resuscitation, pediatric advanced life support, and other relevant certifications
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Compassionate attitude and ability to handle stressful situations with patience and empathy
- Physically fit and able to lift or move patients when necessary
Salary: $1100 per month (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
