Egyptian Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Egyptian Chef to join our team in Mauren, where you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and bring a taste of Egypt to our restaurant. As an Egyptian Chef, you will be responsible for creating authentic and flavorful dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest level of food quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook traditional Egyptian dishes according to recipes and standards
- Manage kitchen operations, including ordering supplies, scheduling staff, and maintaining sanitation standards
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper preparation techniques and food safety procedures
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards
- Develop new menu items that showcase the unique flavors of Egypt
- Monitor food inventory levels and control food costs
- Collaborate with other chefs to create seasonal menus that incorporate local ingredients
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Chef specializing in Egyptian cuisine
- Proficient in preparing traditional Egyptian dishes such as koshari, ful medames, kebabs, etc.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity in developing new menu items while staying true to traditional flavors
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
Salary: $1400 per month. This is a full-time position with benefits.
City: Mauren, located in northern Switzerland near the border with Liechtenstein. Known for its beautiful scenery, outdoor activities, and rich history.
