Preservation Architect - Vilnius, Lithuania
We are hiring a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Vilnius, Lithuania. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, ensuring they meet safety and code requirements while maintaining their original character. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and local authorities to oversee preservation projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site evaluations to assess the condition of historic structures
- Develop preservation plans and proposals for restoration projects
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals
- Create detailed architectural drawings and specifications for restoration work
- Oversee construction progress and ensure compliance with design plans and specifications
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and provide guidance as needed
- Coordinate with preservation specialists such as historians, engineers, and conservators as needed
- Conduct research on historical architecture styles, materials, and techniques for accurate restoration
- Maintain accurate project documentation including reports, budgets, schedules, etc.
- Ensure all work is completed within budget and meets quality standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Preservation Architect or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of historical architecture styles, materials, and techniques
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and conservation principles
- Proficient in CAD software and other design tools
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
Salary: 1100$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
