Entry Level Librarian

We are seeking a passionate and organized individual to join our team as an Entry Level Librarian. As a librarian, you will play a crucial role in providing access to information and resources for our community. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in library services and eager to gain experience in the field. The salary for this position is $1400 per month without accommodation. A biometric passport is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with organizing and maintaining the library collection
- Provide customer service by assisting patrons with locating materials and using library resources
- Process new materials, including cataloging, labeling, and shelving
- Create displays and promote library programs and services
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the library space
- Perform basic technology assistance, such as troubleshooting computers or assisting patrons with printing/copying

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (or currently pursuing)
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of library systems and procedures is a plus

Location: This position is located in the United States.

Note: While previous experience as a librarian is not required, preference will be given to candidates who have previously worked or volunteered in a library setting. Accommodation is not available for this position.
