Senior Architectural Technologist
As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the technical aspects of architectural projects in Funchal. Your role will involve creating detailed drawings and specifications, conducting site visits to ensure compliance with design plans, and coordinating with other professionals such as architects and engineers. You will also be responsible for managing a team of architectural technologists, providing guidance and support when needed.
To excel in this role, you should have a thorough understanding of building codes and regulations, as well as strong technical skills in CAD software and building information modeling (BIM). You should also have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other professionals and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed drawings and specifications for architectural projects
- Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with design plans
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project success
- Manage a team of architectural technologists
- Review building codes and regulations to ensure compliance
- Utilize CAD software and BIM for technical drawings and project documentation
- Provide guidance and support to junior architectural technologists
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Architectural Technologist
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations in Funchal
- Proficiency in CAD software and BIM tools
- Excellent communication skills
- Team management experience is preferred but not required
