Preservation Architect for Historic Buildings in Shan, India
Our architectural firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Shan, India. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for the preservation and restoration of historic buildings in the region. This is a contract position with a salary of 1600$ per month.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings to determine their condition and preservation needs
- Develop preservation plans and strategies for each building, taking into consideration its historical significance and cultural value
- Collaborate with other architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure proper implementation of preservation plans
- Oversee restoration projects and ensure that they adhere to preservation standards and guidelines
- Conduct research on historical architecture and materials to inform preservation decisions
- Provide guidance and support to clients on maintenance and conservation of historic buildings
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture with a focus on Historic Preservation
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Preservation Architect, preferably in India or similar regions
- Strong understanding of architectural history, preservation principles, and techniques
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with diverse teams
- Fluent English communication skills
