Indian Chef in Nairobi

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Indian Chef to join our team in Nairobi. As an Indian Chef, you will be responsible for creating authentic and delicious Indian dishes using traditional cooking techniques and ingredients. Your main duties will include menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and ensuring high quality and consistent dishes. You must have a strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, be able to work well under pressure, and have excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus based on seasonal availability and customer preferences
- Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of Indian dishes including curries, tandoori dishes, biryanis, naan breads, etc.
- Ensure all ingredients used are fresh and of high quality
- Train kitchen staff on proper preparation techniques for Indian dishes
- Oversee the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation of orders
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
- Comply with health and safety regulations at all times
- Handle customer feedback and make necessary improvements to the menu or dishes

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience as an Indian Chef in a professional kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine including regional variations
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise kitchen staff
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to maintain high standards for food quality
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary: 1100$ per month

Location: Nairobi (preference for candidates already residing in Nairobi or willing to relocate)
