Malayalee Chef in Nairobi



We are seeking a skilled Malayalee Chef to join our team in Nairobi. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious and authentic Malayalee dishes for our restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for cooking and the ability to bring traditional flavors to life.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus featuring a variety of traditional Malayalee dishes
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards
- Manage kitchen operations including inventory, ordering, and food preparation
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meets or exceeds customer expectations
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred
- Proven experience as a Chef specializing in Malayalee cuisine
- In-depth knowledge of spices, ingredients, techniques, and flavors used in traditional Malayalee cooking
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work quickly under pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1700$ per month.
