IT Support Specialist - Svalbard

Our growing IT company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team in Svalbard. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer support and troubleshooting, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to our clients, resolving any hardware or software issues they may encounter, and ensuring their systems are running smoothly. This role requires a high level of problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently. Accommodation in Svalbard is provided for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, or in person
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide timely resolutions
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and networks
- Set up new user accounts and assist with password resets
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on client systems to ensure optimal performance
- Document all support activities for future reference

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in computer support or related field
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with network installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet
- Outstanding communication skills with a customer-oriented mindset
- Biometric passport required for travel to Svalbard
