Preservation Architect in Svalbard
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Preservation Architect to join our team in Svalbard. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures in the Arctic region. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1800 per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting site surveys and assessments to determine the condition of historical buildings
- Developing preservation plans and strategies for the restoration and conservation of these buildings
- Collaborating with other architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure the successful execution of preservation projects
- Utilizing specialized techniques and materials to maintain the authenticity of historical structures
- Keeping up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and advancements in preservation technology
- Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Preservation Architect or similar role
- Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, construction techniques, and building materials
- Experience working with historical buildings and structures is preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other architectural software
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders
