Network and Systems Administrator

A reputable IT company in Svalbard is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network and Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining our network systems, ensuring their reliability, security, and overall performance.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls
- Manage network security by implementing firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure system backups are performed regularly
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to design and implement new network solutions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in networking technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF), VPNs, firewalls
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Familiarity with cloud computing services (AWS, Azure)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1000$ per month for this position.

Location:
This position is located in Svalbard. While preference will be given to candidates already residing in Svalbard, we are open to considering candidates from other countries who are willing to relocate.
