Librarian vacancy in Al Buraymi Oman

Librarian (Kenyan Nationals Preferred)

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Al Buraymi. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature and information management, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:
- Manage library collections, including selection, acquisition, cataloging, and shelving of materials
- Develop and maintain library policies and procedures
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide guidance on library resources
- Plan and coordinate library programs and events
- Train and supervise library staff and volunteers
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions and statistics
- Stay informed about current trends in library services and technologies

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Strong knowledge of library systems, cataloging practices, and reference tools
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work with diverse populations
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
- Kenyan nationality preferred due to visa restrictions
