Welding Technician

A welding technician is responsible for using specialized equipment and techniques to join metal parts together. They must have a thorough understanding of welding processes, safety protocols, and materials to ensure quality and precision in their work. The ideal candidate will have experience with various types of welding such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding, and be able to read blueprints and measurements accurately. Responsibilities:
- Perform various types of welding such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding
- Read blueprints and measurements accurately
- Operate specialized equipment including welders, cutters, grinders, etc.
- Follow safety protocols at all times
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance
- Collaborate with engineers and technical staff to complete projects on time
- Keep work area clean and organized

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding
- Valid biometric passport (or ability to obtain one)
- Knowledge of different types of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick)
- Ability to read blueprints and measurements accurately
- Familiarity with safety protocols in a workshop environment
- Physically fit, able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination

Preferred:
- Certification in welding from a recognized institution or trade school
- Experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing plants
- Familiarity with metalworking tools such as grinders and drills
