Pastry Chef
The pastry chef will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious pastries and desserts for our restaurant in Bergen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and experience in a professional kitchen. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1600$ per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare various types of pastries, including cakes, tarts, cookies, and breads
- Maintain high standards of quality and presentation for all pastries and desserts
- Work closely with the head chef to develop new menu items and seasonal specials
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in the pastry section of the kitchen
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a pastry chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and recipes
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
- Creative thinking to develop new and unique dessert options
- Good communication skills to work effectively with other team members
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in culinary arts or related field
- Experience working in a fine dining restaurant or hotel setting
