As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a chef, preferably in a fine dining or high-end restaurant setting. You should have excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and menu development. A creative mindset and a passion for experimenting with new ingredients and techniques are essential. Experience working with Arctic cuisine or in remote locations is a plus.

As we are located in Svalbard, an archipelago situated between Norway and the North Pole, it is important that you are physically fit and able to work in cold weather conditions. Our restaurant operates year-round, so you must be willing to live on-site for extended periods.

In addition to your culinary skills, we are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure. As the Head Chef, you will also be responsible for managing inventory, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
