We are seeking a skilled and passionate Executive Chef to join our dynamic team in Oslo, Norway. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, delicious dishes that exceed our customers' expectations. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop menus and recipes that showcase local ingredients and follow current food trends
- Manage food inventory, ordering, and budgeting to maintain cost control
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food preparation and presentation
- Monitor food quality and make necessary adjustments to maintain high standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and implement new techniques or menu items as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of different cuisines, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff, management, and customers
- Proficiency in menu planning, budgeting, and inventory management
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
