Information Security Analyst

The Information Security Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the security of our company's information systems and data. They will work closely with various departments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, conduct risk assessments, and implement security measures to protect against cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of information security best practices, as well as experience with network security, risk management, and incident response. This is a contract position requiring the candidate to have their own visa.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various departments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in information systems
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks
- Implement security measures to protect against cyber threats
- Monitor network activity for suspicious behavior and investigate any potential security breaches
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to information security
- Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and developments in information security
- Conduct training sessions for employees on information security best practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in information security or a related field
- Strong understanding of information security best practices, including network security, risk management, and incident response
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, etc.
- Knowledge of compliance standards such as HIPAA and PCI-DSS
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Experience conducting training sessions on information security is a plus
- Must have own visa for working in Washington

Salary: $1800 per month (contract position)

Location: Washington D.C., United States (open to Canadians)
