Job Title: Collector - Mombasa, Kenya (Indians Preferred)


A reputable company in Mombasa is seeking a Collector to join their team. As a Collector, you will be responsible for managing and collecting payments from customers. This is a contract position with the possibility of extension. Indians are preferred for this role, but all nationalities are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:
- Contact customers via phone, email or in-person to collect outstanding payments
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment status
- Identify delinquent accounts and escalate to management when necessary
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer queries and complaints
- Update customer information and payment details in the system
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding collections and debt recovery
- Provide exceptional customer service at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in collections or debt recovery
- Knowledge of collection laws and regulations
- Proven ability to negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications
