Formworker

A reputable construction company in Akron is seeking a skilled Formworker to join our team. As a Formworker, you will be responsible for creating formwork structures used to hold concrete in place during the construction process. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Formworker and possess strong knowledge of construction processes and techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare, set up, and dismantle formwork according to project specifications
- Measure and cut materials to the required length
- Install formwork structures using various tools such as saws, drills, and hammers
- Ensure formwork is properly aligned and level before pouring concrete
- Monitor concrete placement and make adjustments as needed
- Repair and maintain formwork as necessary
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures on site

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Formworker in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction processes and techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and follow project specifications
- Knowledge of different types of formwork systems including metal, wood, and plastic forms
- Proficient with various hand tools such as saws, drills, hammers, etc.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials on a regular basis
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $900 per week. This is a contract job with the potential for long-term employment based on performance.
