Junior Information Security Analyst


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented junior Information Security Analyst to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a junior member of our information security department, you will be responsible for assisting with the implementation and maintenance of security measures to protect our company's data and systems.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and standards
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor network traffic for potential security breaches or suspicious activity
- Assist with incident response and remediation efforts
- Stay updated on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities to inform risk management decisions
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and protocols
- Familiarity with common security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

This is an entry-level position suitable for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience in the field. We offer competitive salary of 1400$ per month along with accommodation options for non-local candidates. Candidates must have their own valid work visa for Norway.
