Fitter - Svalbard

As a Fitter in Svalbard, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and machinery. Your main duties will include identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance tasks, and making necessary repairs. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect machinery and equipment to identify any malfunctions or issues
- Diagnose mechanical problems and develop solutions to fix them
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on various types of machinery
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools or other necessary equipment
- Collaborate with team members to complete larger projects or repairs
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing tasks

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a fitter or similar role is required
- Ability to read technical manuals and use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to handling machinery

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1000$ per month. In addition, accommodation will be provided.

Location:
This position is located in Svalbard. The ideal candidate would have a preference for living in this location.
