Preservation Architect

Our architecture firm in Herzliya is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in historic preservation and restoration, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for assessing and documenting the condition of historic buildings, developing preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects. You must have excellent attention to detail and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members. This is a contract position with a salary of $1500 per month, with the possibility of extension based on performance.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings to determine their condition and identify areas in need of preservation or restoration
- Develop detailed preservation plans that adhere to local regulations and guidelines
- Oversee restoration projects, including managing budgets, timelines, and contractors
- Collaborate with other architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure the integrity of historic structures is maintained during restoration
- Monitor ongoing restoration work to ensure it meets quality standards
- Document and maintain accurate records of all preservation activities
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments related to historic preservation

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Historic Preservation
- Minimum 5 years of experience in historic preservation or restoration projects
- Strong understanding of local regulations and guidelines related to historic preservation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency in relevant software programs such as AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
