Executive Chef
We are looking for an experienced and creative Executive Chef to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, as well as managing inventory and budgeting.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design menus that are both innovative and profitable
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and portion sizes
- Monitor food costs and maintain budgetary guidelines
- Oversee the ordering and inventory of food supplies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for kitchen staff
- Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with menu costing procedures and inventory management systems
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred
