Librarian


As a librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection of books, media, and other resources. You will also assist patrons in finding and utilizing these resources, as well as maintaining the library's cataloging system.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the library's collection of books, media, and other resources
- Assist patrons in finding and utilizing library resources
- Maintain the library's cataloging system
- Develop and implement programs and services to promote literacy, education, and information access within the community
- Stay updated on current trends in library science and technology to improve services and efficiency
- Oversee circulation activities such as checking books in/out, collecting fines, and issuing library cards
- Train new staff members on library policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan events, programs, and displays for the library
- Handle administrative tasks such as budget management, inventory control, and purchasing new materials

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people
- Proficiency in cataloging systems and knowledge of electronic databases
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed

Location:
This position is located in Wiltz.

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1500$ per month.

Note:
Preference will be given to candidates who are Pakistani or Kenyan nationals. However, all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Fluency in English is required for this position. Candidates must have their own valid visa for employment.
