Junior Web Designer (Contract - Svalbard)


As a Junior Web Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly websites for our clients. Your main focus will be on designing engaging layouts, selecting appropriate color schemes, and implementing effective navigation systems. You will work closely with our team of designers and developers to ensure that the websites meet the needs of our clients. This is a contract position with flexible hours, making it perfect for students looking to gain practical experience while earning a competitive salary of 1200$. Please note that accommodation is not provided for this position. As this role is based in Svalbard, we welcome applicants from all nationalities who are legally allowed to work in this location.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to create website designs that align with client objectives
- Utilize design software and tools to develop mock-ups and prototypes
- Select appropriate color schemes, fonts, and images for each project
- Develop user-friendly navigation systems and ensure cross-browser compatibility
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web design
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and address any concerns or feedback

Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Web Design or related field (or currently pursuing)
- Strong portfolio showcasing previous web design projects
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
