Database Administrator



We are hiring a skilled Database Administrator to manage and maintain our company's databases in Alta, Norway. The ideal candidate will have experience in database design, development, and management. They will be responsible for ensuring the security, integrity, and performance of our databases, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise. This is a full-time position with a salary of $900 per month and includes accommodation.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and manage company databases according to business needs
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing backup and recovery strategies
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide solutions in a timely manner
- Collaborate with developers and IT teams to integrate new systems with existing databases
- Create user access controls and privileges for different levels of database users
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as data backups, upgrades, and patches
- Develop documentation for database processes, procedures, and configurations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Proficient in SQL language and database management systems (e.g. MySQL)
- Knowledge of data backup/restore/recovery procedures
- Familiarity with database design principles
- Experience with performance tuning techniques
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with teams
- Fluent in English (Norwegian language skills a plus)

Location:
This position is located in Alta, Norway. Candidates must have their own visa or be eligible to obtain one.

Salary:
The salary for this position is $900 per month.
