Librarian - Contract Position in Plovdiv, Bulgaria


We are in search of a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting literacy and learning within the community. This position is ideal for individuals who have prior experience working in a library setting and are looking for a short-term contract opportunity. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract. This position is suitable for both men and women who have a passion for literature and knowledge.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection by cataloguing, shelving, and organizing materials
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries
- Promote literacy and learning by coordinating events and programs
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions
- Provide excellent customer service to all library patrons
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in literature and technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Prior experience working in a library setting
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of library cataloguing systems and procedures
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
This is a contract position with a salary of $1600 per month.

Location:
Plovdiv, Bulgaria - accommodation will be provided during the contract period.

Preference:
This job is open to all nationalities but preference will be given to Indian candidates who have prior experience working as a Librarian.

Note:
This job does not require fluency in English. However, basic English proficiency is preferred.
