Part-Time Preservation Architect



We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving historical buildings and structures in the city of Porto. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for architectural preservation and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting site visits and surveys to assess the condition of historical buildings
- Developing preservation plans and strategies for maintaining the structural integrity of these buildings
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure preservation projects are executed effectively
- Reviewing architectural drawings and plans to ensure compliance with preservation guidelines
- Conducting research on historical building materials and techniques used in construction
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all preservation projects
- Educating the public about the importance of architectural preservation through presentations and workshops

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in architectural preservation
- Extensive knowledge of historical building materials, construction techniques, and preservation guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with a team
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other relevant software

We offer competitive compensation of 1300$ per month for this part-time position.
