Chef de Cuisine
We are seeking a skilled Executive Chef with a passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences to join our team in Vianden, Luxembourg. As the Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and possess strong leadership skills. You must be able to work well under pressure and have a creative approach to menu development. This position offers a competitive salary of $1300 per month and includes accommodation. As an English-speaking establishment, fluency in English is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring quality and consistency
- Train and manage kitchen staff, delegating tasks as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu development
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a high-volume establishment
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative menus that appeal to diverse tastes
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
