Executive Chef for Canadian Restaurant in Jerusalem, Israel
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a Canadian restaurant located in the vibrant city of Jerusalem, Israel. As the head chef of our establishment, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu creation, food preparation and presentation, inventory management, and staff training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus that showcase Canadian cuisine with a modern twist
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques and sanitation standards
- Source high-quality ingredients for menu items while adhering to budget constraints
- Ensure consistency and quality in all dishes served to customers
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new initiatives and promotions
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a diverse team
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food cost control methods
- Experience creating menus that cater to different dietary restrictions
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
Salary: $1400 USD/month (negotiable based on experience)
This is a contract position without accommodation provided. However, we offer free visa sponsorship and round-trip airfare to Israel.
