Construction Manager (Bungoma, Kenya)
A construction company in Bungoma is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to oversee our ongoing projects and ensure their timely and successful completion. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in project management and team leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage construction projects from start to finish
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resources allocation plans
- Oversee on-site activities to ensure adherence to design plans, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to provide project updates and address any issues or concerns
- Manage project budgets and monitor expenses to ensure profitability
- Hire and train construction staff as needed
- Conduct regular inspections to identify any potential risks or deviations from the project plan
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained before beginning any construction activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Proficiency in project management software
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
