Preservation Architect - Oslo, Norway
We are hiring a Preservation Architect to join our team in Oslo, Norway. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures. Your duties will include conducting site assessments, developing preservation plans, and overseeing construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate the condition of historical buildings and structures
- Develop preservation plans that prioritize the maintenance and restoration of important features
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to implement preservation projects
- Ensure that all preservation work follows local building codes and regulations
- Oversee construction projects to ensure that they are carried out according to the preservation plan
- Create detailed reports documenting the condition of historical buildings and any restoration work done
- Monitor the progress of ongoing restoration projects and make adjustments as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in historic preservation architecture
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Experience conducting site assessments and creating preservation plans
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
Salary: 1500$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
