Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Svalbard, Norway. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy equipment to assist with construction and maintenance projects. This is a contract position with accommodation provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform daily equipment inspections to ensure proper functioning and report any issues or malfunctions.
- Follow project plans and blueprints to accurately complete tasks.
- Ensure proper use of equipment attachments for specific tasks.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to keep it in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and maintain a safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or similar setting.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with GPS systems for accurate grading and excavation work.

Working Conditions:
This is a physically demanding job that requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. The Equipment Operator must be able to sit for long periods of time while operating heavy equipment. The position also involves regular bending, climbing, kneeling, and lifting.

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1500 per month.
