Civil Engineer - Construction Project Coordinator (Las Vegas)
As a Civil Engineer - Construction Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of construction projects in the Las Vegas area. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning, design, and construction phases of projects
- Prepare project schedules and budgets
- Coordinate with project managers to obtain necessary permits and approvals
- Oversee contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship
- Monitor progress of construction activities and identify any potential issues or delays
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
- Review and approve change orders as necessary
- Communicate with stakeholders including clients, consultants, and government agencies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction project coordination or management
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Proficient in AutoCAD or other drafting software
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
This is a full-time position with a salary of $1400 per month. This position does not include accommodation. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working on Canadian projects or are Canadian citizens. Fluency in English is required.
