Contract Librarian in Faro



We are hiring a Contract Librarian to join our team in Faro. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a librarian and possess a biometric passport. This is a contract position with a salary of $1800 per month, and accommodation will be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize library materials, including books, periodicals, and media
- Assist patrons with finding and accessing resources
- Develop and maintain an efficient cataloging system
- Plan and implement library programming and events
- Provide reference services to patrons, including research assistance and reader's advisory
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the library

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working as a librarian required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Biometric passport required for international applicants
