Librarian



We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Librarian to join our team at our library in Monte-Carlo. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and learning, strong organizational skills, and excellent customer service abilities.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection of books, magazines, and other materials
- Catalogue new materials and maintain accurate records of borrowed and returned items
- Assist patrons with locating and checking out materials
- Answer reference questions and provide research assistance
- Plan and coordinate library programs, such as book clubs or author talks
- Promote library services through outreach efforts to schools and community organizations
- Oversee daily operations of the library, including opening/closing procedures, shelving books, and managing fines/fees
- Train and supervise volunteer staff

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Knowledge of cataloging systems (e.g. Dewey Decimal) and electronic databases for research purposes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with patrons of all ages/backgrounds
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Fluency in English (French proficiency preferred)
- Familiarity with current trends in literature for all ages

Salary: $1400 per month without accommodation. This is a full-time position with own visa requirements.
